Biography

Liu Wei, born in 1973, PhD in Surgery, graduated from Peking Union Medical College, and currently works at the Plastic Surgery Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.

Research Interests: Plastic and aesthetic surgery and craniomaxillofacial surgery. Participated in the formulation and publication of the industry guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of hemifacial microsomia under the funding of the National Public Welfare Industry Research Special Fund. Innovatively proposed and published a clinical classification and treatment strategy for progressive hemifacial atrophy based on skeletal involvement.

Has successively participated in multiple research projects, including the National Public Welfare Industry Research Special Fund, General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Key Project of Clinical Disciplines of the Ministry of Health, and Science and Technology Program Project of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission. Has made conference presentations many times at domestic and international professional academic conferences. In the past 5 years, has published 6 SCI-indexed papers as first author/corresponding author and has participated in the publication of dozens of SCI-indexed papers.

1. Craniomaxillofacial surgery: including aesthetic facial contour surgery, diagnosis and treatment of facial asymmetry (especially hemifacial microsomia, facial atrophy, etc.);
